For some customers with specific visual brand requirements the theme editor doesn't given them sufficient flexibility. To meet these needs we offer a custom theme creation service where we work with you to craft each aspect of the theme to match your requirements.

The custom theme creation process works like this:

Kick off

  • Initial call with customer to show examples of other custom themes and to illustrate the different visual elements controlled by a theme
  • Customer supplies relevant brand guidelines and identifies people responsible for design sign-off, including if Brand teams need to be involved
  • Art Director reviews brand guideline
  • Art direction kick off call with client and Art Director to discuss ideas for creating a theme from the guidelines and preferred theme options


  • Art Director creates first draft of art direction including theme specification sheet to capture brand colours and fonts and examples of how certain screen elements, such as FilmStrip, will look with the theme applied
  • Art direction delivered to customer for review and feedback
  • Customer sends feedback
  • Amendments made to art direction by Art Director
  • Amended art direction sent to client for review and feedback
  • Client signs off art direction


  • Graphics artist create "cutups" from the art direction (navigation bar items, navigation arrows etc)
  • Developer starts programming
  • Internal theme testing
  • Developer amendments
  • Further internal testing
  • Theme switched on in customer's gomo account
  • Customer live theme testing
